Space Cowboy was born from a lifelong love of exceptional coffee, the rugged beauty of the Appalachian Mountains, the untamed spirit of the American Wild West, and the endless wonder of the Space Frontier. Founded by Johnson City native Brad Turner, Space Cowboy celebrates the explorers of every generation, from the pioneers who carved paths across the Great Frontier to those who now look beyond our world toward the stars. While the landscapes have changed, the spirit has not: adventure, independence, curiosity, and the courage to chase what lies beyond the next horizon.
At Space Cowboy, every handcrafted coffee, tea, energy drink, and refresher is made for those who carry that same adventurous spirit. Meet the Space Cowboy
Brad Turner grew up in Johnson City, Tennessee, where the Appalachian Mountains became his first playground and sparked a lifelong appreciation for the outdoors. While those mountains will always be home, his career took him across the country, allowing him to experience new communities, cultures, landscapes, and, of course, great coffee.
From small mountain towns to major cities, every stop reinforced a simple idea: great coffee has a way of bringing people together. Along the way, Brad developed a passion not only for exceptional coffee, but for the people, traditions, and adventures that surround it. Whether it was discovering a neighborhood coffee shop, exploring a new trail, or meeting people with different stories to tell, every experience helped shape what would eventually become Space Cowboy.
Space Cowboy is a reflection of that journey. It combines the welcoming spirit of Appalachia, the independence of the American Wild West, and the curiosity of the Space Frontier into a place where everyone can enjoy handcrafted coffee and quality drinks while celebrating the next adventure, wherever it may lead.
